L'Etourdi (The Blunderers)
by Molière

L'Étourdi, ou Les Contre-Temps (The Blunderer: or, The Counterplots) is generally believed to have been first acted at Lyons in 1653, while Molière and his troupe were in the provinces. It is based on an Italian comedy. While opinions differ about the merit of the play, Victor Hugo thought it was the best work of Molière.

Molière played the part of Mascarille.
